England’s Creative Coast

England’s Creative Coast is a project between seven arts organisations, Cement Fields, Creative Folkestone, De La Warr Pavilion, Hastings Contemporary, Metal, Towner Eastbourne and Turner Contemporary, to create a new outdoor cultural experience that connects art with the coastline of Essex, Kent and East Sussex, and local stories with global perspectives. It brings together the Waterfronts commissions, a series curated by Tamsin Dillon featuring seven new works by Andreas Angelidakis, Mariana Castillo Deball, Holly Hendry, Jasleen Kaur, Katrina Palmer, Pilar Quinteros and Michael Rakowitz. Each take the border between land and water as inspiration, exploring social, natural, geological, political issues.
