Cutline: The Photography Archives of The Globe and Mail

Compiled from the extensive archives of the Canadian national newspaper, The Globe and Mail, the exhibition Cutline: The Photography Archives of The Globe and Mail showcased a selection of over 15,000 original prints donated to the Canadian Photography Institute of the National Gallery of Canada.

Powerful and provocative, these pictures of war, political events, social revolutions and cultural icons offer a lens through which visitors can glimpse some of the defining moments of the twentieth century in Canada, while also shining a light on the inner workings of a newsroom.

The exhibition was organised by the Canadian Photography Institute of the National Gallery of Canada, The Globe and Mail and Archive of Modern Conflict.
